T-minus 24 hours and counting...

In less than 24 hours, JoeyC, Crik, DonnyB, and myself should be arriving into Mountain Home, Arkansas to begin our 3 day trip to the White River to chase big brown trout on mondo sized streamers. Everyone is jacked up about it and ready to get the chuck n' duck on. Praying for some decent flows from the SWPA and maybe a cloud or two in the sky. Not holding my breath but ya never know whats going to happen.

Looking forward to Friday morning up at Bull Shoals Dam with the guys from The Ozark Chronicles and Fly Fishing the Ozarks. Plans of breakfast at the boat ramp or on 1 of the islands downriver is the rumor. Good times will be had...

Can't freaking wait...

YGF comes up short...

So Yukon has been slacking on giving us our much needed dose of GoPro goodness, YGF style. The interwebs started to grumble about this and he came through for us with a video from his trip to the Dream Stream in CO.

It has an 80s flavor to it. It's pretty comical...

Show YGF some love and check it out!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you, The Montana Project

Well, after 5 months of putting off buying a new laptop and recovering all the footage from Montana, I finally sat down over the weekend with a ton of GoPro footage, a new fancy smancy laptop, and some editing software to produce "The Montana Project".  After a couple of late nights and several cups of coffee, its finally done. The video shows our trips on the Clarks Fork, Blackfoot, and our trips into the backcountry.

Sitting down and watching all the footage brought back a ton of great memories we made up there in Big Sky Country. It also made me really miss it. It really is "the last great place" in this country. If you love the outdoors, you owe it to yourself to go to Montana and experience what it has to offer. I could go on and on about Big Sky...if you ever go there, you will understand.

Another CTD video for your viewing pleasure...

Finally got my hands on a new laptop this week! You should start seeing more frequent posts and the overall look of the page should change from time to time. Also, I finally sat down last night and started going through some GoPro footage that we were able to recover from my old laptops hard drive. Look for a few more CTD videos in the coming weeks. I'm gonna start editing the footage from Montana this weekend....stay tuned for that!

The following video is from this past summer on a weekend trip to the White/Norfork Rivers. Check it out and let me know what you guys think!!

Until next time, keep chasing the dream....

Remember that half a chicken I mentioned...

The guys have been busy at the vise, knocking out big nasty bugs left and right for our upcoming trip to the White River on Feb 1-3. Everyone is excited and fired up to get back out on the river and chase some big brown trout fishes...

My phone has been blowing up with texts, phone calls, and Facebook messages about the upcoming weekend. Lots of big social plans are being made for the post fishing activities. I somehow foresee some shenanigans taking place at some point...

This should be an awesome weekend. I can't freaking wait...

Anyways, here are your moms missing chickens and pet rabbits...

Ending the season with a bang!

We have been grinding our way through hunting season this winter but we have finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel. This past weekend, a couple of us got out and about in SW Oklahoma to chase a few feathered and furry animals...

While I was hitting up the wheat fields for ducks and geese, DonnyB stirred up a couple of coyotes on further south. It was a good weekend for both of us. We shot limits of honkers of all kinds along with bunches of cottontops (wigeon). Not a bad way to end our hunting season for the winter.

Now it's time to focus on the upcoming streamer season over on our tailwaters in Arkansas. Everyone is excited and ready to go. Time to chuck and duck...

Until next time, keep chasing the dream...

Time to scratch the itch...

Well duck season is finally winding down for us. Just a few more weeks left for us to chase the winged SOBs. With this time period, we start getting the "itch". We start checking daily water flows and generation schedules, reading fishing reports and blogs, and watching the latest fishing videos to hit the interwebs.

Following this, the guys start dusting off the tying desks and filling their vises with hooks to wrap feathers around. I'm not talking size 18 hooks to tie midges...I'm talking big f'ing hooks to wrap half a chicken around.

I have rallied the troops and got the 1st "big" fishing trip planned for an expedition to the tailwaters of Arkansas in hopes of sticking a few big brown trout faces.

Streamer season is upon us out here...

And I'm not talking your grandfathers streamers. The wooly bugger can kiss my ass...

We r preparing...
